Calling all Lewisham Bloggers…
Send me your Photosynths!
In 2005 we started asking residents to post photos of environmental problems to ‘Love Lewisham’. That’s really helped us to engage with residents and become more focused on getting things done, rather than getting tangled-up in defensive bureaucracy. You’ll see from other posts that I’m keen to try out ways to develop this approach. I’ve given some examples of the kind of thing you can do with Photosynth here , but I think you could create a syth of a street or an area that could generate a lot of activity. It doesn’t have to be just bad stuff. It could be a synth of somewhere that’s ‘got it right’. It could be a good way to get a local conversation going about how things can be improved. It could be a really productive way to get various council staff involved in a virtual site visit. Combined with an online discussion forum it would be dynamite! Fancy sending us a Photosynth challenge?
Sounds like an excellent idea. I’ll have a play with the tech and see if I can come up with anything.

Thanks Andrew. Apart from the obvious fly-tip, there are some nice weeds and, further off, a lovely row of our wheelie bins!

Yes, as you’ll know that’s a good place to get a photo of a fly-tip. The weeds and wheelie bins I threw in for free!
